Pick your trade, add your business name and services, and get a complete five-part script — greeting, intake questions, booking flow, answers to common questions, and an after-hours variant. Copy it section by section or download the whole thing.
Starting template — we customize scripts like this for clients. Runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type is sent to us.
Most "AI receptionist" setups fail for the same reason most voicemail fails: they treat the call as something to record instead of something to finish. A caller with a burst pipe does not want to leave a message. They want a truck on the way. The scripts this generator produces are built around five rules we use on every client build:
1. It answers fast and says what it is. The greeting opens within one ring and discloses that the caller is talking to an AI — with an immediate escape hatch ("say 'person' at any time"). Callers who feel tricked hang up; callers who are told straight usually stay.
2. It asks one question at a time. Stacked questions ("what's your name, address, and the problem?") produce mumbled, half-answered responses. The intake section asks a single question, waits, then asks the next — and it qualifies emergencies before anything else.
3. It books instead of taking messages. The booking flow offers two real time slots, confirms the details back, and writes the job into your field-service software. A captured booking is worth ten captured voicemails.
4. It answers the questions callers actually ask. Price, timing, and license/insurance cover the large majority of pre-booking questions in every trade we build for. The FAQ section gives the agent honest answers, then returns to the intake instead of wandering.
5. It behaves differently after hours. Most high-value calls in the trades arrive when the office is dark. The after-hours variant swaps the greeting, runs emergency triage, and promises a specific callback window instead of a vague "we'll get back to you."
Paste each section into your platform. Vapi, Synthflow, Retell, Bland, and most voice AI platforms accept a system prompt or agent instructions. Start with the greeting and intake, then add the booking flow and FAQ answers. Keep the after-hours variant as a separate schedule-based prompt if your platform supports business hours.
Replace every bracketed placeholder. "[Your business name]" is the obvious one, but also fill in your real diagnostic fee, license state, and callback windows before a single real caller hears the agent. A confident wrong answer costs more than no answer.
Test with ten fake calls. Call your own number and play the difficult caller: the price shopper, the angry repeat customer, the person who refuses to give an address, the heavy accent, the dog barking through the whole call. Fix what breaks before launch.
Then listen every week. Scripts drift. Prices change, techs leave the on-call rotation, a service gets discontinued. Someone has to own the script forever, or it quietly starts quoting last quarter's answers. If you'd rather not be that someone, that's exactly what our built-and-operated AI voice agents include. Yes. No signup, no email, no limits. Everything runs in your browser — nothing you type is sent to us.
Copy each section into your voice AI platform's prompt or call-flow builder — Vapi, Synthflow, Retell, Bland, and similar tools all accept a system prompt or agent instructions. Replace the bracketed placeholders with your real details, then test the agent with at least ten fake calls before it touches a real customer.
No — and be suspicious of anyone who says otherwise. This script covers the calls that follow a pattern: greeting, intake, booking, common questions, and after-hours triage. Edge cases like angry customers, existing-job status checks, and price negotiation need custom handling built from your real call recordings.
Yes. Disclosure builds trust, and a growing number of states require it. Every script this tool generates opens with an upfront AI disclosure plus an escape hatch so a caller can reach a human at any point by saying so.
Yes — that is the service. We study your real calls, write the full script, integrate the agent with your CRM and scheduler, and operate it week to week. The generator gives you the template; the service turns it into a receptionist that actually books jobs.
We turn scripts like this into receptionists trained on your real calls, wired into your CRM and scheduler, and operated week to week — so the script never drifts and the 2am failure is our problem, not yours.
